Looking for Lotus developer-consultant at PSC

It’s a new year and we need to start it off right.  How?  By hiring another Lotus consultant developer to our team.

We’re looking for the usual skill set:

  • strong development skills
  • strong web development skills
  • knowledge of web development outside of the standard Lotus package: JS, CSS, extJS
  • hopefully some XPages or at least the aptitude to learn it quickly.

In addition to the technical skills, we would love to hire someone who can manage him or her self, their clients, their projects and maybe even others.

PSC is in Chicago.  We would prefer local candidates, of course.

If you have what it takes or know someone who does, please get in touch with me.

Looking for a Lotus Domino Administrator

I’m looking for a Lotus Domino administrator with a good rounded infrastructure background.  The mix of technical skills I’m looking for is pretty typical:

  • Lotus Domino 8.5 — infrastructure and architecture
  • Lotus Notes 8.5 — deployment and support
  • SameTime — infrastructure, architecture and deployment
  • BlackBerry — infrastructure and architecture
  • General networking and infrastructure skills — DR planning, topology planning, routing, VPN, security, etc.

I’m not looking for an absolute expert but you need to be confident and be able to think, learn and adapt on the fly.

What is most important to me is your consulting skills.  You’ll be dealing with my clients and my clients are very important to me.  You need to be able to think, advise and lead.

PSC Group is located in Chicago.  The Lotus market in Chicago has been hit hard.  I’d love to help someone in our local Lotus community.  But keep in mind that, along with local projects, there is some travel involved.

Drop me a note, if you think you’ve got what it takes.

Open positions at PSC

I should’ve mentioned this a lot sooner…

Several months ago I posted notices that I was looking to add a Lotus Notes/Domino consultant and an administrator to the PSC team. Since then I received an unbelievable number of responses from all over the world.  And I continue to do so until this day.

I want to thank everyone who had expressed interest in joining our team.  We were able to staff these openings pretty quickly.

However, even though we are not looking to add more people to our team, I am always interested in talking and networking with talented individuals in our community.  So if you’re interested in learning more about our award-winning Collaboration team, feel free to drop me a line.

PSC is looking for a Lotus Domino administrator

I received such great feedback from my post 2 weeks ago looking for Lotus Notes developer that I decided to try this again.

Once again, I am looking for a new person to join our Collaboration team. The focus of and the strength of our team at PSC has always been the Collaboration technologies with heavy emphasis on the IBM/Lotus family of products: Lotus Notes, Domino, Quickr, Connections, SameTime.

This time I am looking for a consultant with Lotus Domino administration skills.  In particular:

Strong Lotus Domino administration skills

  • Experience with Lotus Domino 7 and 8
  • Day-to-day management of a Lotus Domino infrastructure
  • Monitoring server performance
  • Troubleshooting issues as they come up
  • User management
  • Experience with other products in the Lotus family is a plus

Strong Lotus Notes client support skills

  • Troubleshooting of Lotus Notes clients
  • Use of policies and/or 3rd party tools to manage and configure clients

Experience upgrading Lotus Domino infrastructures

  • Have experience planning, managing and executing an upgrade of a Lotus Domino infrastructure
  • Have experience performing a major release upgrade

Consulting skills

  • Have experience working face-to-face with the customers, end users, business users
  • Know how to work off minimal specifications/ideas from business users
  • Know how work independently and manage a project and a client relationship

I should mention that my immediate need is a project in Kansas City area.  So, if you live in the Chicago area, where our Collaboration team is centered, you would need to be able to travel.

And as far as PSC itself, we are a well-known and recognized organization in the IBM/Lotus community:

  • Premium IBM partner
  • Winner and finalist of multiple Lotus (former Beacon) Awards
  • Notes/Domino Design Partners
  • Hosts of multiple IBM blogs, such as Ed Brill and ideajam
  • We participate in various IBM/Lotus events such as Lotusphere, Collaboration Summits
  • Members of our team (John Head) speak at multiple events
  • And the list goes on

If you have the skills, if you like the life of a consultant, and want to become a part of the leading information technology consulting organization, drop me a line. I can be reached via my personal email linked on this site as “Contact Me” on the right. I can also be reached at my PSC email at akassabov@PSCListens.com

I’m looking forward to hearing from everyone.
